Bangladeshi actress Joya Ahsan was the daughter of A.S. Masud and Rehana Masud. She was born on 1^st July 1972. Joya was interested in Classical music, Rabindra Sangeet and painting. Joya gained post-graduation studies from Eden University College, Dhaka. Joya took diploma in Rabindra Sangeet and a little course on painting.Though Joya started her career as a employee in a private company, but she was interested in building her career in music and drawing. Though, her father wanted her to be an employee.

Bangladeshi actress Joya Ahsan first performed in teledrama Panchami. She modeled for a calendar which caught the eye of talented actor and advertising director Afzal Hossain, who later offered her work on a promotional advertisement of a soft drink. Afterwards she left modeling and continued with her studies.

During that time Joya Ahasan used to go the office of Bhorer Kagoj, a popular national daily of that time. After a brief stint at a children's school she returned to modeling. There she met model Faisal Ahsan and within a short time they decided to mary. Then she worked in Giashuddin Selim’s Shongshoy .
